School of health sciences Peshawar offers admissions in Doctor of Physical Therapy, BS Medical Lab, BS Dental, BS Surgical, BS Cardiology, BS Radiology and BS Anesthesia, along with this SHS offers Admissions in two years Post SSC Diplomas in Paramedics; in a variety of disciplines and category B” Pharmacy. For Overseas (Pakistani National) Aspirants :

Overseas (Pakistani National) should have an equivalence certificate from IBCC (inter Board of Committee Chairman) in case of O & A levels whether they are living in Pakistan or outside Pakistan.

For Overseas (Other than Pakistani National) Aspirants :

I. Should have an equivalence certificate from IBCC (Inter Board of Committee Chairman) in case of O & A levels whether they are living in Pakistan or outside Pakistan.
ii. Should have Embassy’s NOC where students are coming from, and also copy of notification to KMU regarding admission.
iii. Should have a valid Passport & Visa (Study Visa).

Cancellation of Admission :

I. The institute has right to cancel the admission of a candidate at any stage if it is discovered that the documents presented are fake, or there is a misstatement or an error in the documents that may affect
merit position of the candidate.
ii. A bonafied student may apply for cancellation of admission, in person, or through guardian, on a non judicial stamp paper worth Rs. 30, dully attested by an oath commissioner. Reasons for the cancellation his/her admission on recommendation of concerned head of Department.

KMU Centralized Admission Test (KMU-CAT) :

Appearance in the KMU Centralized Admission Test (KMU-CAT) is mandatory for admission in all programs.
The admission test is only valid for the respective admission session for which the candidate has applied and the result of the admission test will not be considered for any other admission session.

Ineligibility For Admission :

i. Anyone who has been expelled by any university or college for misconduct or for use of unfair means in the examinations or any offence involving moral turpitude or for any valid reasons shall not be entitled for admission in SHS.
ii. Anyone who has been admitted earlier to any program but later was declared to have ceased to be student of the Insitute under these regulations shall not be allowed admission.

Scrutiny and Admission Committee For All Programs :

i. Director / Principal/ In-charge/Consultant/ Coordinator of the concerned institute Chairman.
ii. Two faculty member (Against each discipline offered).
iii. Office manager/section in-charge /office Assistant

TORs of the Admission Committee :

i. The committee shall scrutinize admission application forms for the respective advertised program in light of the approved eligibility criteria/advertisement and according to weightage (academics, experience, higher qualification, publication, entry test, etc.) on the prescribed proforma for preparation of merit list.
ii. The committee shall complete the assigned task and submit the report (merit list ) to the concerned admission committee.
iii. The committee shall be responsible to address the concerns of the applicants regarding their ineligibility (if any) and weightage accordedin the merit.

TORs of the Admission Committee :

I. The committee shall evaluate the candidates in light of the eligibility and selection criteria.
ii. The committee shall submit the recommendation of selected candidates for admission.
iii. The committee shall submit the recommendation of selected candidates for admission to the competent authority for approval.
iv. The committee shall also be responsible to review the admission policy from time to time and suggest changes for consideration and approval by the competent authority.
