BS cardiology
Introduction:
The aim of SHS to start cardiology technology is to understand the use of both invasive and non-invasive procedures involved in cardiology field. Also to make student upto date about the new interventions in field of cardiology.
Cardiology technology provides great training options for students who are interested in medical technologies, want to help others in cardiac area. As a cardiology technologist, your future could involve using advanced medical equipment that is fascinating and essential to the health. And with the skills you learn, you can greatly expand your job opportunities, sense of purpose, and overall level of fulfillment. Cardiology technologists perform invasive procedures such as implanting cardiac catheters during angiographic procedures and inserting pacemakers. Cardiology technologists also perform noninvasive procedures such as echocardiography and electrocardiography. They should be able to work in all cardiac centers.
Professional Recognition:
Graduates of Cardiology Technology program of School of Health Sciences Peshawar will receive four year degree, awarded by Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar.
Scope of Cardiology Technology:
Cardiology technologists perform invasive procedures such as implanting cardiac catheters during angiographic and angioplasty procedures and inserting pacemakers. Cardiology technologists also perform noninvasive procedures such as echocardiography electrocardiography. They should be able to work in all cardiac centers. They should be recruited as a lecturer of cardiology in medical universities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- F.Sc pre-medical or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
- Maximum 25 years of age, on closing date.
