The mission of SHS to start surgical technology is to know how to use surgical technologie and revolutionize the students to make a bright future in Medical Science.The Surgical Technology program prepares students to function in the operating room environment by combining classroom and simulated laboratory instruction with actual surgical clinical experiences. Surgical technology is an area of healthcare involving the use of instruments to treat bodily injuries, disease and other disorders. Surgeons technologists are an integral part of the surgical team, working with surgeons before, during and after an operation.
Professional Recognition:
Graduates of Bs-Surgical Technology of school of health sciences will receive the degree of BS-Surgical Tech, awarded by Khyber Medical University, Peshawar.
Scope of Surgical Technology:
The scope of this degree is wide, Surgical Technologist assist in Surgeries under the supervision of Surgeons. They perform crucial tasks at every stage of the surgical process. Before surgery, they prepare the instruments and supplies, technologist can identify instruments and arrange everything according to the surgeon’s needs and the particular procedure. As a students in BS Surgical Technology program, you’ll learn common operating procedures and how to work under high-pressure situations so you can have a positive impact on patients. you’ll learn surgical procedures and techniques that will develop your professional and patient interaction skills.
Eligibility Criteria:
- F.Sc pre-medical or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
- Maximum 25 years of age, on closing date.
